What is a B-Corp?
A B-Corp (Benefit Corporation) is a for-profit company certified by B Lab for its commitment to social and environmental responsibility, transparency, and accountability. B Corps aim to balance profit with purpose, considering the impact on all stakeholders – not just shareholders. They undergo a rigorous assessment and must meet high standards in areas like environmental impact, employee treatment, and governance. Well-known examples include Patagonia, Ben & Jerry's and Innocent Drinks.
